The official Zoopedia lists 34 aquarium animals in Planet Zoo 2 as of Oct 3, 2026.^[1] 15 of them are also listed under Exhibit, so they appear on our exhibit animals page too (our calculation).^[1] 3 come with the Deluxe Edition: Blue and Gold Fusilier, Great Hammerhead, Longfin Batfish.^[1]

Fully aquatic animals are new in Planet Zoo 2. Frontier says you can build "freshwater or saltwater custom aquariums" and must keep them clean "with filtration systems".^[2] Steam's description mentions "colourful shoals of fish, Blacktip Reef Sharks, Hawksbill Turtles and so many more".^[3]

The Zoopedia says that Planet Zoo 2 "is in active development" and that "Text, images, stats etc. are not necessarily final and may change or be expanded upon".^[4] More animals are still being revealed before launch.^[1]
