Quick answer #
The Zoopedia lists 10 flying animals in Planet Zoo 2 (Habitat type: Habitat - Flying) as of Oct 3, 2026.[1] 1 of them, the Golden Eagle, comes with the Deluxe Edition; the rest are in the base game.[1]
Flying birds are new to the series: Frontier's features page says they are housed in "fully customisable aviaries built from barriers, support poles and dynamic mesh covers".[2]
The Zoopedia itself says that Planet Zoo 2 "is in active development" and that "Text, images, stats etc. are not necessarily final and may change or be expanded upon".[3] New animals are added to the Zoopedia every week, so this list grows until launch.[1]

This groups the birds by the biomes the Zoopedia gives them (our calculation). Sharing a biome on the Zoopedia does not by itself mean two species can live in the same aviary; Frontier has not published compatibility rules yet.[1]
